In response to recent flooding, Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris has pledged to rebuild the bridges and roads that were washed away in Suru and Maiyama Local Government Areas. The governor made this commitment on Tuesday during an inspection of the damaged Suru-Kawara-Dakingari road and the flooded rice farms in Suru Local Government Area.
Governor Idris emphasized the government's dedication to aiding all residents and restoring vital infrastructure. He stated, “The state government will rehabilitate the bridges and reconstruct the roads. This administration is committed to supporting our farmers and ensuring effective food production in the state.”
Idris assured that his administration is focused on maintaining food security in Kebbi, an essential aspect of their recovery and development efforts. Hon. Faruku Maisudan, a member of the State House of Assembly representing Suru Constituency, praised the governor for his proactive measures in assisting farmers and providing necessary resources.
