Trump Alleges Harris Supports Newborn Murders

In a fiery speech on Friday, United States presidential candidate Donald Trump accused his election rival, Kamala Harris, of supporting extreme and unfounded policies, including the murder of newborn babies. This allegation comes as Harris, who recently replaced Joe Biden at the top of the Democratic ticket, gains ground in the polls. Despite her marriage to a Jewish man, Trump baselessly labeled Harris an anti-Semite during his address aimed at rallying religious supporters in southern Florida. The former Republican president spent much of his speech attacking Harris's record, making numerous claims detached from reality. Trump criticized Harris for missing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech to Congress, accusing her of anti-Semitism without evidence. "She doesn’t like Jewish people. She doesn’t like Israel. That’s the way it is, and that’s the way it’s always going to be. She’s not going to change,” he said.

This rhetoric marked an escalation in Trump's inflammatory remarks, despite his campaign's recent calls for unity following an alleged attempt on his life. His speech, hosted by the right-wing group Turning Point Action, raised questions about Harris's previous positions on various issues but was riddled with exaggerations and falsehoods. ‘Execute the baby’ – Trump further alleged, without basis, that the Justice Department and FBI were targeting Christians and anti-abortion activists for their beliefs. He called Biden's decision to exit the election a "coup" by Democrats and said America was a "laughing stock." His harshest attacks were reserved for Harris, whom he derogatorily referred to as a "bum" and a failed vice president. He falsely accused her of rejecting federal judges for being Catholic and of planning to appoint "hardcore Marxists" to the Supreme Court. He also claimed, without evidence, that she wanted to force doctors to administer chemical castration drugs to children and suggested she might cheat to win the election.

Trump's most extreme accusation was that Harris would support federal laws allowing abortions in the late stages of pregnancy and even after birth. “If Kamala Harris has her way, they will have a federal law for abortion, to rip the baby out of the womb in the eighth, ninth month and even after birth — execute the baby after birth,” he claimed. At 78 years old, Trump, now the oldest major-party nominee in history, is working to reorient his campaign against a younger opponent. Harris, who is seeking to become the first female president in US history, has quickly assembled her campaign. She has highlighted Trump’s criminal conviction and what she describes as a Republican attack on "hard-fought freedoms" in US society. Crowning glory – Trump's latest remarks come just a week after he accepted the presidential nomination at the Republican convention in Milwaukee. He promised to commemorate a recent near-fatal incident at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, with another rally in the town soon. Harris, a former California prosecutor and senator, has garnered support from prominent figures like Barack Obama as she narrows the gap in the polls. As the race heats up, Harris and Trump continue to vie for the support of the American people in a highly contentious election season.
