Manchester United has secured the signing of Uruguayan midfielder Manuel Ugarte in a deal valued at up to €60 million. The transfer was confirmed by renowned Italian transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano, who announced the "done deal" via a post on social media platform X.
Romano revealed that the agreement includes a €50 million fixed fee plus an additional €10 million in potential add-ons. Ugarte, who had his heart set on joining Manchester United, is expected to travel to Manchester soon to finalize the move.
This transfer follows weeks of negotiations, during which Super agent Jorge Mendes flew to England to discuss the terms with Manchester United. The Red Devils had been in talks with Paris Saint-Germain throughout the summer as manager Erik ten Hag aimed to strengthen the midfield ahead of the new season.
